Looking back at 2009
Year 2009 was quite challenging. I was able to do lots of new things at 2009. Here are the list of things I have learnt over 2009. First I have started with iPhone programming and for that I have bought a new macbook for working in iPhone programming. I had a Canon FS100 camcorder and I wanted to download my videos on my macbook. I was attracted by the iMovie and started to learn very basics on Video editing.
The passion for Video editing kicked off and I started to carve for more on video editing. I bought Final cut Express to get into editing. By the time I took few videos I understood that I need some good quality sound. So I went for an inexpensive external audio interface (MAudio Fast Track Pro). I did few Live recording of Audio. This put me a flare on Audio editing. I was not able to afford for a Mac pro / Macbook Pro for my video / audio editing stuff. I bought a Mac mini which is really helpful to accomplish my video editing tasks.
By gods grace I was able to edit 2 Christian Video Albums as a beginner and the outcome was so professional. I was wondering how I was able to make it and finally understood the person behind my work. The person is no one other that Jesus Christ. He was kind enough and by his grace I was able to accomplish great things with minimal resource available.
And on my spiritual side of my life I was bit slow due to some personal reasons which put me down always when I tried to come out of it with my strength I was not able to get out of it. However God didn’t let me go down. He lifted me up and gave me a new strength and his love. The turbulence in my life made me lose all my loved ones but by the end of 2009 things were back to normal and my loved ones came back to me and now I am happy and thankful to my savior who has done this work for me.
The promise that Lord has given me this year was “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (Malachi 3:6 ~ KJV )“. Here is me wishing you a peaceful year 2010.
Learning to Learn
It is hard for people to learn if something is hard for them. All the way people generally feel lazy to learn. Only a few come forward voluntarily to learn new things and they excel in their lives. I have seen people learning as much as they can and wondered how ever in the life they could do all these things? Learning is not a borne quality, rather is cultivated by the parents, teachers, elders and environment.
I ability to learn may differ from person to person. But only the person who is showing interest to learn knowingly / unknowingly excels almost in everything. I know the whole world knows about this. But how many are practicing to learn? Every minute we spend lavishly wasting out time, there is someone who is overtaking us in some way or other.
I am feeling that I missed all time I wasted. But still not left my confidence go down! So think yourself start learning whatever you can and get the most out of your learning. Learn to learn.
Do you have a minute?
I don’t time even to breathe says a man to his wife. Yes, I am a perfectly normal human being and I do understand that these days are one of the toughest period to live. The cities are crowded and busy and have no time to think. I thought about this for a minute and found that it is not only for the money people come to cities. It is for better living and better facilities. But all these facilities are bringing down the peace of a normal human being.
I was talking to one of my colleague who got frustrated by the stressful work he was doing and no time to spend with the family and kids. Whatever people earn may be good to live a cozy life. But what will happen to the quality time the family and friends would expect from people.
In real life do we have a minute to spend with our loved ones?
Getting Tensed?
As I was speaking to my sister today, I learned a new thing about “Getting Tensed!”. However people might have come across the same and this post might look stupid. However it is worth getting an update / refresh something on this topic.
“What to do?” this is the general attitude of people who gets tensed often. Getting tensed often make people lose their beauty and charm in the face and often lead to a dull / grim face. It is not only the physical beauty; also it tends people to lose their confidence in life. I had a colleague who was stressed enough by multiple pressure got into the trap and was never able to come out of it. He used to get hits after hits and he is helpless. I was happy enough extending my sincere prayers to God to get him relieved of such tension and be firm in his ways. I used to suffer from tensed situation which makes me feel bad and helpless. Thank God for intervening in my issue and helped me to get out of the scuffle.
I have learned to get out of the tensed situation; I thought for a while and found it to be true. May be this post could kick start your mind to focus on getting out of the trouble in a tensed scenario.
Well it would be curious to get to know how did I got out of the scuffle. Initially, for me it started with me not passing the school. I really got tensed, frustrated and did not understood the way out of it. Finally, it is God who intervened in my life spreading joy all over and made me feel easy.
From that day I kind of slowed down in getting tensed for trivial things. Now, I am expecting miracles from God rather than getting tensed and making myself in the dark. As we grow in our busy life it is common to get tensions; but getting tensed does matter. Amidst all tension we got to act swiftly but stay calm at heart and attend to the tension. Otherwise tension overcomes us and we will fall as a victim.
So it is better to trust in God when you are in pain, tensed and worried about the way out. He is the only person who can get us out of the tensed situations. Start praying to God today if you have not started yet! You should start speaking to God like we speak to our father. This is the simple start to your prayerful & tension free life.
WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get)
In the IT world there is a terminology which says WYSIWYG which stands for “What you see is what you get”. Take for instance any Word Processor, you will get the same as you see while typing. I would like to coin a new term as if English is in short of words. Anyways the term I was thinking was “WYDIWYG” it would be really hard to pronounce.
However it is the fact that you will get what you dream. So “WYDIWYG” stands for “What you dream is what you get”. Dreaming is an art and it depends on the attitude of a person. If a pervert dreams about filling his/her lust then they would end up their life in doing all kind of nasty things and will die of the same. Whereas a positive dreamer grows in the way he is determined to grow.
I have seen people who have dreamed positively and reached success. And at the other end I have seen perverts turned into beggars and wander in the streets. The point I would like to stress here is to dream positively with clean mind and heart. That is where I love the teachings of Jesus Christ who has given a good teaching about the life which every human should live.
People reading this: I am asking a question to you! Where are you on your dreams? Are you positive in your attitude and do things right and dream positively? then you are in the right path of your life. If not, it is the right time to mend yourself and get on to the right track.
Survival of the fittest!
Today I got myself reminded about a lesson which I studied at early school days about the Jungle. It would say that the Lion is the “King of the Jungle” and only the fittest can survive in the Kingdom. How true is that in the real life! To survive it is really hard these days.
New technology, new ways of communication, new culture, new trends, new lingo, new desires and what not; things keep going on. May be this blog might not have anything to give you as take away, but be reminded where you stand.
The world we live is only for the fittest. Lets update ourselves with the things we would require keep ourselves the fittest. Above all, without the mercy of the Lord nothing would happen.
Presence of Mind
I used to wonder about the presence of mind that people mostly elder would always say. But yesterday I found that to be different from what people say. I would term that “Gods Lead”. Let me go on and explain what happened to me yesterday.
I wished that I could get a own house for myself. I drove 25 kms to a place where my relatives told that here is a house for sale. My wife and I went there to see them by morning 7 ‘O’ Clock. Everything went well and the moment we were starting home I sensed my car was creating some trouble. Somehow, I managed to drive the car to home.
I got ready to office and started my car. The car was normal and I have covered 4 kms. The car gave more indications that it would stop in the middle of the road. I stopped the car in the parking for 2 mins and started to drive again. At that moment I felt someone from my inner heart saying me to drive the car to Car repair shop rather driving to Office.
However, I would have managed to drive the car to office. But listening to my inner heart, I drove directly to the repair shop. The mechanic was diagonising the car and said that the engine was about to cease. I thank god that he saved my life.
The coolant in the car went into the engine as the casket broke.
I finally reached home and took my two wheeler and started driving to office. That evening it rained heavily. I was thinking then, if I have taken the car to office, I would have landed in trouble a lot. Another interesting thing has happened.
As it rained heavily, I was driving my bike slowly. A person was asking for lift. This is how I understand about the “Gods leading”. If I was driving a car I wouldnt stop for a lift. I stopped for helping that person. His bike got dampened and it didnt start. I was asking him whether I should help him in getting his bike started. But he said his father came with him and he is shivering because of cold and wanted my to drop him in the nearest place where he can reach home. The place where the person got struck is in middle of marshlands. The road over the marshlands connect from one place to another.
I took the person’s father who was shivering in cold and drove him near to his home. It had to drive away 3 kms off the road which leads to my home. After dropping him safely, I felt very happy at heart. I thanked got for he perfectly guided me through yesterday. I was totally dampened by the rain.
Had nice food prepared by my wife and slept peacefully.
Power of Fasting – Success
Many people do advice me that I should not fast at this age. Dont think that I am too old (Just 29!). Here is my explanation.
- Many a times Fasting made me identify the real wolf in sheep clothing.
- Got answer for long pending sufferings.
- Was able to get the guidance of the Almighty.
That success made me fast often. I am fasting for more than 3 years and found no health hazard. But contra to that I get immense strength and power to think better.
Living 200 years without success is much much greater that 2 years of success.
Learning never dies

It is the use of COALESCE function in SQL server. You can use this function to get quicker progress in fetching & processing records row-by-row.

Problems are stepping stones for success
Practically speaking…
let me start with a proverb ..”Failure is the stepping stone for success” I want add a topping to that ..Also problems are the stepping stones for success.
Some time back I heard a sermon on how to overcome difficulties in life. It was really great …It is simply because of that I would like to share this with you.
You know Turtles in the sea come to the shore to lay the eggs. It doesnt incubate the eggs .. instead it buries the egg over the sands. Here comes the list of problems in the life of a turtle.
- Before it hatches the eggs may be broken by playful kids in the shore…
- Once it hatches and starts towards waters, some predator tries to eat the little turtles.
- After reaching the waters they arent safe. Still it is harassed by adult turtles.
the only survivor will be the turtle which overcomes all trials.
This particular message touched my heart and from that day I started taking troubles as stepping stones for my success. Hope you will find it useful if you wish to overcome problems.
